Happy Skin's Pretty Lip Duo - The Soapbox Filipina
“Prints Made Pretty Collection” is the make up line for some products from Happy Skin. It is a collaboration between Happy Skin and the local clothing brand Plains and Prints. Happy Skin’s Prints Made Pretty Collection” was launched last February.
Happy Skin featured their make up, while Plains and Prints, their clothing line.
I am presently enamored with Happy Skin’s Moisturizing Matte Lippies Duo . The makeup collection introduced two new shades, for everybody’s favorite Happy Skin lip crayons: Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippies, both in matte formula.
Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippies Duo
I love their lippie duo. I love that the shades are from the different ends of the color palette. One can give a stronger appearance, the other soft and subdued. One is more wearable during daytime, the other during evenings. ( although I wear them both during daytime)
True to the Shut Up & Kiss Me lip crayons , the lipsticks moisturizes. They do not dry the lips -even if it is in matte formula.
” Prized for its rich content, powerful CupuaÇu butter from the Rain Forest, these lippies have the capacity to attract 240% water.”
This lip color is a muted pastel of sorts. It belongs to the dainty color list. It is a medium mauve. It is something that would look nice on young women, like Prints Made Pretty ambassadors, Sabina Gonzales and Aryanna Epperson.
Surprisingly it also looked nice on me. It is a day wear or an errand – lipstick for mommies like me.
It seems to be a cross between burgundy and carmine hues. As you apply it, you also get to see some plum undertones. I have recently been partial to “reds” since they bring a different kind of vibe to the smile, my smile. So, scene stealer is now a favorite, actually.
Note: In my experience, though , the lip crayons leave some memories on the wine glass and the cutleries. But you can re-apply anytime, since it is easy to put on —as it glides through the lips.
More note: When applying however, do not press too hard on the lips. I broke one of the lipsticks. Now, I’m using a lip brush for it.
( p.s. I do not blame the lipstick, I just am “kamay na bakal” as my husband would call me. I seem to be the dementor for bathroom fixtures, switch, toilet flushes, faucets, shower head and knobs. I have broken a few of these in our married life. The good side is that my husband ( like most) is happy, to visit the hardware, anytime.)
The Happy Skin’s Prints Made Pretty Lip Duo box set is at Php1,099.00.
Lipsticks are individually sold at Php649.00
